There are eight (8) insurance carriers that write individual plans in Tennessee; and all together there are over 200 plan combinations from which to choose.
There is no cost to you for working with a professional agent, and I encourage you to find a good one (I'd like to apply).....
Here are some quick TIPS & TRICKS to help you:
1. NEVER PAY MORE FOR HEALTH INSURANCE THAN YOU SHOULD
2. Examine ALL your options so you can make an intelligent decision about what is best for you and your family.
3. Deal ONLY with an agent/broker that is licensed with ALL 8 Carriers... not just those that "say" they are!
4. IF you have ANY health conditions or are on medication, DO NOT LET AN AGENT SUBMIT an application on your behalf... this goes on your Medical Information Bureau and can haunt you for years (sort of like bad credit).
